There is no reason to touch the contacts or the top plate (to which you apply thermal grease and press against a heatsink). Oil does not conduct electricity.

A good way to accomplish this is by wearing static dissipative cots and gloves. I thought antistatic gloves are not being used to avoid ESD, but to avoid fingerprints on electronics and whenever you want to wear gloves for that purpose, these gloves should be antistatic.
